Leaders Discuss Staying Ahead of Cyber
WASHINGTON, August 13, 2024 – The White House’s Hon. Anne Neuberger, Deputy Assistant to the President and Deputy National Security Advisor for Cyber and Emerging Technologies, National Security Council, and Harry Coker, Jr., National Cyber Director, will jointly participate in an exclusive Fireside Chat on September 3 during the 15th Annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit. The Summit, being held September 3-6, 2024 at the Ronald Reagan Building and International Trade Center in Washington, DC, will explore topics related to this year’s theme: Advancing Cybersecurity in the AI Age.
“We are excited to have Deputy Assistant Neuberger and Director Coker participate, and I am honored to moderate this session. Hearing from the two top White House cyber officials about the road ahead will provide unique and informative insights into the cyber threats facing our government, nation, and allies,” explained Thomas K. Billington, CEO and Founder, Billington CyberSecurity.
The Biden-Harris Administration has institutionalized cyber on an unprecedented level, including by elevating this issue set under a Deputy National Security Advisor in the NSC and both inaugurating and building out an Office of the National Cyber Director. Since 2021, the White House has developed and implemented an aggressive approach to strengthening US critical infrastructure, staying at the forefront of technological innovation, building partnerships with foreign governments and a range of non-government stakeholders, and fighting to preserve fair and open standards. This fireside with the two senior most cyber officials at the White House will reflect on cyber-related progress made and outline the way ahead.
Designed to address the nation’s pressing cyber needs, the 15th Annual Billington CyberSecurity Summit will also emphasize the increasing impact that artificial intelligence (AI) is having on the cyber world. The event will draw more than 2,500 attendees and over 200 speakers, including top leaders for one-on-one Fireside Chats. Other Fireside Chats include:
General CQ Brown, Jr, 21st Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff.
General Timothy D. Haugh, US Air Force, Commander, US Cyber Command, Director, National Security Agency/Chief, Central Security Service. “Cyber Command’s Role in Active Defense”
