SecTor 2025 Unveils Keynote Speakers and Full Program in Toronto

September 10, 2025 By admin Leave a Comment

Canada’s flagship cybersecurity conference, SecTor, has announced its 2025 keynote lineup, bringing two of the most influential voices in security and technology law to the Metro Toronto Convention Centre from September 30 to October 2. As part of the Black Hat global event portfolio, SecTor has built a reputation as the central gathering point for the Canadian cybersecurity community, combining thought leadership with technical deep dives and a showcase of cutting-edge tools.

On Wednesday, October 1, Cristin Flynn Goodwin, Founder and Managing Partner at Advanced Cyber Law, will deliver a keynote titled “Agentic AI and Identity: The Biggest Problem We’re Not Solving.” With 25 years of experience shaping laws, policies, and services across the cybersecurity spectrum, Goodwin will focus on how autonomous agents introduce novel identity challenges. Her session will explore why current frameworks leave gaps for attackers and why new standards are urgently needed before agentic AI becomes a widespread operational reality.

The following day, Thursday, October 2, HD Moore, Founder at runZero and creator of Metasploit, will take the stage with “The Once and Future Rules of Cybersecurity.” Moore is a longstanding advocate for open source and vulnerability disclosure. His keynote promises a sweeping examination of security doctrines, separating timeless principles from outdated practices while laying out new rules designed to meet modern challenges, including the rise of adaptive threats and pervasive automation.

Beyond the keynote sessions, SecTor 2025 will feature over 45 carefully curated Briefings, a full day of Summits, more than 35 Sponsored Sessions, and 40 Arsenal tool demonstrations. The program reflects the event’s dual mission: to provide cutting-edge technical education and to foster collaboration among industry, academia, and government in defending against the evolving cyber threat landscape.

The sponsorship roster underscores SecTor’s significance, with CrowdStrike, Microsoft, Qualys, SentinelOne, Sophos, and Trend Micro anchoring as Diamond Sponsors. Platinum sponsors include ManageEngine, Okta, Rubrik, and Wiz. A broad group of Sustaining Partners and Global Partners—from Cisco and Armis to Broadcom, HackerOne, and Concentric AI—highlight the depth of support from across the security ecosystem.

SecTor 2025 thus promises not only high-level insights into the future of cybersecurity strategy but also hands-on exposure to the tools, research, and practices shaping defensive capabilities today.
