In a move that signals continued consolidation across the IT services and cybersecurity sectors, Netrix Global has announced the acquisition of the U.S.-based IT Services business of Ricoh USA, Inc., a subsidiary of Ricoh Company, Ltd. The deal marks a major expansion of Netrix’s national presence, extending its reach into the Northeast, Mid-Atlantic, and Southeast markets, and deepening its managed cloud, infrastructure, and collaboration offerings.
Ricoh’s IT Services arm—originally formed through its 2014 acquisition of mindSHIFT Technologies—has long been a respected player in the managed services space, particularly among small and mid-sized enterprises. Known for its high-touch customer relationships and solid technical expertise, the business provides managed IT, cloud, and professional services across verticals such as healthcare, education, legal, and finance. Now, as part of Netrix Global, those clients will gain access to a broader suite of cybersecurity, public cloud, AI, and data solutions.
Dean Gels, CEO of Netrix Global, described the acquisition as a strategic fit that combines “two leading teams in cloud and AI” to create a more powerful portfolio for mid-market and SMB clients. The integration will enable clients to operate with “greater efficiency, agility, and resilience,” reflecting the market’s growing demand for comprehensive, multi-layered IT partnerships that go beyond traditional managed services.
Rob Dang, Executive Chairman of Netrix, emphasized the complementary nature of the two businesses, highlighting ITS’s long-standing reputation for reliability and client trust. Together, the combined entity gains not only expanded geographic coverage but also deeper specialization and scale, allowing for continued investments in innovation, technical talent, and strategic partnerships—elements critical in today’s fast-evolving IT landscape.
The transaction, for which Bank Street Group LLC acted as exclusive financial advisor to Ricoh USA, strengthens Netrix’s role as one of the most integrated digital transformation partners in North America. With legal support from Faegre Drinker Biddle & Reath LLP on Ricoh’s side and Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom LLP representing Netrix, the deal underscores a broader industry shift toward consolidation as service providers race to meet the complex, converging needs of enterprises navigating the age of cloud, AI, and cybersecurity convergence.
While financial terms were not disclosed, the acquisition positions Netrix Global for sustained growth and greater influence across the mid-market IT ecosystem—an increasingly competitive segment where clients expect holistic, secure, and scalable digital transformation solutions from a single trusted partner.
