August 23, 2018 By admin

KBR, Inc. (NYSE : KBR ) announced today that its global government services business, KBRwyle, has been awarded a $71 million task order to provide cybersecurity services for the Defense Health Agency (DHA).

The Navy’s Space and Naval Warfare (SPAWAR) Systems Center (SSC) Atlantic awarded this three-year, cost-plus-fixed-fee task order under the SeaPort Enhanced (SeaPort-E) contract. KBRwyle has held a seat on SeaPort-E since 2005.

KBRwyle will assist SSC Atlantic with its cybersecurity and risk management framework (RMF) initiatives and provide support to the DHA Assessment and Authorization (A&A) Division. This work will help DHA provide secure healthcare to U.S. Air Force, Army, and Navy warfighters and their families.

Under this task order, KBRwyle will provide cybersecurity A&A support. This will include ensuring DHA IT is compliant with information assurance (IA) directives and processes; preparing and reviewing RMF packages, supporting IA test procedure standardization, and performing risk assessments.

KBRwyle will carry out a range of other health IT efforts, such as program management, security controls, privacy requirements, and warranty management support. It will also provide critical cybersecurity tools, and maintain and enhance DHA’s web-based platform for data management.

This work will be primarily performed at KBRwyle’s Charleston, South Carolina office as well as DHA’s headquarters in Falls Church, Virginia, and other locations throughout the U.S.

“KBRwyle has delivered cutting-edge cybersecurity solutions to DHA since its inception,” said Byron Bright, President, KBR Government Services U.S. “We will continue to work side by side with DHA as it delivers integrated, affordable and high quality health services to U.S. military members and their loved ones.”

KBRwyle is a leading provider of U.S. government cyber and electronic security solutions. It helps customers defend their cyber battlespace by offering a range of IT services, including cyber policy and training, cloud security, vulnerability assessment and evaluation, independent verification and validation, and software design and control system programming.

Estimated revenue associated with this contract award will be booked into the backlog of unfilled orders for KBR’s Government Services business segment.
