Cyberbit Acquires RangeForce to Create AI-Powered Cyber Readiness Giant

September 23, 2025 By admin Leave a Comment

Cyberbit, long regarded as a benchmark setter in hyper-realistic attack simulation and SOC readiness, has acquired RangeForce, a U.S.-headquartered pioneer in cloud-based cyber ranges and scalable training platforms. The union creates a formidable global player in cyber readiness, combining Cyberbit’s operational realism with RangeForce’s adaptive upskilling capabilities to deliver one of the most advanced AI-powered platforms available today. This new entity reflects a shared vision: preparing defenders to withstand the relentless tide of cyber threats with tools that are as immersive as they are effective.

At the heart of this acquisition lies a synergy between Cyberbit’s live-fire, hyper-realistic simulations and RangeForce’s cloud-based, adaptive learning environments. Both companies have been recognized in Forrester’s Wave™: Cybersecurity Skills & Training Platforms, with Cyberbit named a Leader and RangeForce highlighted as a Strong Performer. By merging, the companies provide a seamless training pipeline—from entry-level analysts learning foundational skills to seasoned defenders facing the most sophisticated attacks in environments that mirror reality. Brian Pierce, CEO of Cyberbit, framed it as “a readiness journey” that eliminates the gaps that too often only become evident during a real breach.

Artificial intelligence plays a central role in this combined platform. RangeForce’s AI-powered tutor dynamically personalizes learning pathways, while its AI-driven content engine continually generates new, threat-relevant scenarios. Cyberbit extends this with its focus on realism, creating a “living SOC readiness library” that grows in tandem with the evolving threat landscape. David Etue, CEO of RangeForce, emphasized that this union, combined with AI advances, positions the new entity to deliver immersive and evolving experiences that ensure both SOC and incident response teams remain agile and prepared.

The acquisition also strengthens the value proposition for customers across commercial, enterprise, and government sectors. The joint platform expands its catalog of Live-Fire Exercises, deepens its training content, and enhances user experience with AI-driven personalization. With dedicated teams and strategic data centers in the U.S. and EU, the combined company can also meet the stringent needs of government and regulated industries, offering compliance-ready simulations and proven resilience testing under real-world conditions. This makes the solution particularly attractive to CISOs who are under increasing pressure to demonstrate resilience to boards and regulators, not merely after an attack but proactively.

From a strategic perspective, the merger also cements Cyberbit and RangeForce’s leadership in the growing cyber training and readiness market. Carahsoft, a distribution partner, noted the significance of the deal for the U.S. public sector, highlighting how the partnership enables delivery of innovative, integrated training platforms through a wide range of federal and state procurement contracts. The breadth of contracts, including SEWP V, ITES-SW2, NASPO, TIPS, and OMNIA Partners, ensures the combined solutions are broadly accessible to government customers. Advisors such as BTIG, King & Spalding, PwC, and Cruz-Abrams Seigel were central in structuring and executing the acquisition.

Together, Cyberbit and RangeForce establish a new benchmark in cyber readiness, blending AI-powered adaptive training with hyper-realistic attack simulations. For organizations facing ever more aggressive adversaries, this merger represents a significant step toward closing the skills gap, boosting SOC performance, and ensuring that defenders are prepared not just for today’s threats but for the attacks yet to come.
