Appgate, a leader in secure access technologies, has been selected to participate in the U.S. Army Futures Command’s Cyber Quest 2025 (CQ25). Set to take place at Ft. Eisenhower in the Cyber Battle Lab, Augusta, GA, the event will run through summer 2025. CQ25 is a pivotal platform for advancing the Army’s modernization strategy, identifying cutting-edge technologies, and enabling rapid acquisition and deployment for Multi-Domain Operations.
The competition emphasizes four critical areas: Army Unified Network, Zero Trust Tactical Battlespace, Electronic Warfare, and Information Advantage. Appgate will collaborate with the Cyber Quest 2025 Network Team to integrate its solutions into the Army Unified Network and participate in Zero Trust Tactical Battlespace experiments. This includes the deployment of tactical edge devices across a 5G Mesh Network and SATCOM, enhancing secure operations in challenging environments.
British Major James Harryman, Special Projects Officer at Ft. Eisenhower’s Cyber Battle Lab, underscored the significance of this collaboration: “We are excited to be experimenting alongside Appgate in delivering Zero Trust via the Tactical Assault Kit to the Battlespace edge.”
Appgate’s Universal Zero Trust Network Access (ZTNA) solution is specifically designed for Denied, Degraded, Intermittent, and Limited Bandwidth (DDIL) environments. By leveraging Single Packet Authorization, it cloaks edge devices and secures tactical networks, making it a powerful tool for air-gapped and classified networks. CEO Leo Taddeo highlighted the technology’s impact, stating, “Appgate provides a direct-routed ZTNA architecture ideally suited for DDIL and the tactical edge. Appgate is positioned to deliver mission-critical technology to the warfighter that meets the DOD requirement for Zero Trust.”
CQ25 will culminate in a multi-week cyber field exercise and conclude with a Distinguished Visitor’s Day in June 2025, showcasing innovations to senior Army leaders. The insights gained will inform future initiatives such as Project Convergence, the Army’s contribution to C-JADC2, and NETMODX, which aims to enhance seamless communications across Army units and systems. Through its participation, Appgate is set to play a critical role in shaping the Army’s secure and adaptive technologies for the future battlefield.
