Wiz, a leader in cloud security, has announced its acquisition of Palo Alto-based startup Dazz, marking a major step in its evolution into a multi-product company. The move integrates Dazz’s AI-driven remediation and vulnerability management capabilities with Wiz’s recently launched product, Wiz Code, which focuses on securing the application lifecycle with a developer-first approach. This acquisition positions Wiz to deliver a comprehensive security solution that empowers organizations to prioritize and resolve vulnerabilities effectively, streamlining collaboration between security and engineering teams.
Founded in 2021, Dazz has emerged as a trailblazer in Unified Security Remediation and Application Security Posture Management (ASPM). By leveraging AI and automation, Dazz enables rapid vulnerability resolution and root-cause analysis, allowing teams to mitigate risks within hours instead of weeks. With an impressive track record of managing over 8 billion vulnerabilities and resolving more than 2 billion issues, Dazz’s innovative approach has fueled 500% ARR growth year-over-year. Its tools provide end-to-end visibility across cloud and code, aligning development and security efforts seamlessly.
Wiz’s CEO Assaf Rappaport highlighted the synergy between the two companies, emphasizing the shared vision of enabling businesses to strengthen their security posture through actionable solutions. This acquisition, following Wiz’s purchases of Raftt and Gem Security earlier in the year, reflects the company’s commitment to building the most comprehensive cloud security platform. Dazz’s CEO, Merav Bahat, expressed enthusiasm for the partnership, citing the alignment of missions and the opportunity to expand on Dazz’s market momentum.
This strategic move underscores Wiz’s focus on innovation, cementing its role as a leader in cloud security while transforming how organizations manage and remediate vulnerabilities at scale.
