The sixth annual SmartFlow Anti-Piracy and License Compliance Summit will be hosted by National Instruments on October 9-10 2019 in Austin, Texas

September 27, 2019 By admin

SmartFlow Compliance Solutions (SmartFlow), a leading software-as-a-service (SaaS) provider of data analytics and anti-piracy technology, announces that its sixth annual SmartFlow Anti-Piracy and License Compliance Summit will be hosted this year by National Instruments in Austin, Texas from October 9-10.

The SmartFlow Anti-Piracy and License Compliance Summit is the premiere event for software anti-piracy, license compliance (LC), cybersecurity and data privacy technologies. It brings together the world’s leading software companies to network and learn from key technical, business and legal experts who will share their cutting-edge insights on best practices to protect software intellectual property (IP) and comply with the latest national and international data privacy regulations.

The summit is headlined by keynote speaker David H. Laufman, an attorney whose defense and compliance practice at Wiggin and Dana, LLP draws heavily on his extensive experience in government enforcement and national security affairs, most recently as chief of the Counterintelligence and Export Control Section (CES) in the National Security Division (NSD) of the Department of Justice (DOJ).

Laufman’s keynote will address, “Keeping Secrets: Confronting the Threat of Economic Espionage,” a topic about which he has often spoken and been quoted in the context of the U.S. DOJ escalated prosecution of Chinese economic espionage cases as part of an administration crackdown on the country’s theft of American IP, technology and military secrets. Most recently, Laufman has been quoted by the Voice of America on economic espionage, Newsweek on President Trump’s relationship with Russian President Putin and The New York Times on the whistle-blower issue involving Trump and the Ukraine.

Hot topics to be addressed at the summit are IP and software piracy, economic espionage, cybersecurity, data privacy and license compliance. To view the complete list of speakers and topics, visit smartflowcompliance.com/summit-speaker-list-2019.
