As IT Security continues to play an ever-increasing role in the success or failure of every company, face-to-face events have become more important than ever. The KC Cyber Conference will allow the region’s executives the opportunity to discuss common professional issues, technology challenges, and how emerging technologies have the potential to impact their organization.
Eric O’Neill, Former FBI Operative and Subject of the film, “Breach”, will start the day as the opening keynote speaker. O’Neill, an expert in espionage and counterintelligence, entertains with real-life spy stories while offering practical advice for securing your organization’s most sensitive information. As a young FBI agent, Eric played a decisive role in capturing Robert Hanssen, the most notorious spy in U.S. history. On stage, Eric regales participants with gripping narratives that illustrate why and how they should address critical security risks. His openness and approachability — despite his momentous role in spy history — also inspire audiences to confront their own risky endeavors with courage, confidence and determination.
Scott Augenbaum, Retired Supervisory Special Agent, FBI, will end the day as the closing keynote speaker. Mr. Augenbaum will share why a transnational criminal enterprise and foreign intelligence services may want to target your organization’s data or intellectual property. This eye-opening presentation will discuss ways to ensure you are prepared. Scott has responded to hundreds of data breaches within Tennessee and is here to show commonalities across almost all incidents, while also providing participants with several takeaways to prevent their organization from becoming the next victim.
In addition to our world-class keynotes, there will be 12 breakout sessions and panels throughout the day focused on Security, DevSecOps, GDPR, Security Challenges with Office 365, and Building an Enterprise Security Program.
