The Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress (BCC) is set to convene from May 21 to 23, presenting cutting-edge solutions aimed at combatting the surge in cyber-attacks that threaten industries globally. Organized by Fira de Barcelona in collaboration with the Agència de Ciberseguretat de Catalunya (ACC), this fifth edition focuses on fortifying digital defenses against evolving threats in an increasingly interconnected landscape.
With over 4,424 million cyber-attacks detected in Catalonia in 2022, of which 2,175 million resulted in security breaches, the urgency to bolster cybersecurity measures has never been more apparent. As the IoT device count surpasses 16,700 million worldwide, a 16% increase from the previous year, vulnerabilities grow, necessitating advanced protective strategies.
Under the theme ‘Secure today, safeguard tomorrow’, the event will cover diverse topics such as Employee Training, Robust Security Measures, Threat Intelligence, Compliance Management, Data Governance, Privacy, and Regulatory Technology. The Congress will feature an exhibition area with leading companies like Cloudflare, ManageEngine, and SoSafe, alongside more than 60 expert speakers and a Hacking Village for ethical hacking demonstrations.
Moreover, aligned with the IOT Solutions World Congress, the BCC is set to attract 12,000 visitors from over 100 countries. Additionally, the event includes ECSO Cyber Investor Days for start-ups to pitch projects to European investors and a session by Women4Cyber Spain, the pioneering group of women experts in the cybersecurity realm.
By bringing together industry leaders, innovative solutions, and expert insights, the Barcelona Cybersecurity Congress aims to equip businesses with the tools and knowledge essential for mitigating cyber threats in today’s digital landscape.
