Sygnia Appoints Guy Segal as CEO to Drive Next Phase of Global Cybersecurity Growth

September 29, 2025 By admin Leave a Comment

Sygnia, widely recognized as one of the foremost global incident response and cyber readiness teams, has announced the appointment of Guy Segal as its new Chief Executive Officer. Segal is no stranger to the company, having spent nearly six years in senior leadership roles where he helped shape its strategic direction. His contributions included leading the APJ region, spearheading the initial build-out of Sygnia’s Managed Detection and Response (MDR) practice, and establishing the Corporate Development division. With decades of experience in cybersecurity and incident response, Segal brings both deep operational knowledge and a proven ability to scale organizations under high-pressure environments.

As CEO, Segal is tasked with accelerating Sygnia’s global growth while strengthening its leadership in incident response. A central part of his mandate will be to expand the company’s MDR and proactive service offerings, ensuring enterprises can move from reactive defense toward predictive and preventive cybersecurity. He has also placed a strong emphasis on innovation, particularly through the adoption of artificial intelligence, which is increasingly vital in countering the speed and sophistication of modern cyber threats. Segal highlighted that Sygnia’s mission remains clear: to stand by clients in their most critical moments, guide them through crises, and build long-term value with resilient cyber capabilities.

Rashmy Chatterjee, Chairman of the Board, underscored the appointment as a natural evolution of Segal’s journey within the company. She noted his pivotal role in strengthening Sygnia’s culture and capabilities across geographies, praising his leadership during major incident response operations. By elevating a leader who knows the company “inside and out,” the Board signaled strong confidence in continuity and momentum as Sygnia deepens its role as a trusted partner for organizations worldwide.

With Segal at the helm, Sygnia is set to double down on its reputation for professionalism, quality, and client trust while expanding its global footprint. Positioned at the intersection of incident response mastery and cutting-edge innovation, the company aims not only to help organizations recover from cyber crises but also to proactively outpace emerging threats in a rapidly shifting digital market.
