STV Group and Post-Quantum Forge Alliance to Fortify NATO-Grade Quantum-Safe Communications

November 4, 2025 By admin Leave a Comment

STV Group a.s., one of the world’s fastest-rising names in defence technology, has entered into a multi-year licence and strategic cooperation agreement with Post-Quantum, a London-based pioneer in quantum-safe encryption. The partnership represents a decisive step toward securing Europe’s—and by extension NATO’s—critical communications infrastructure against the looming quantum threat. Quantum computing, still in its early commercial infancy, already poses a clear and present danger to conventional encryption. Data intercepted today may be decrypted tomorrow—a risk encapsulated in the term “Harvest Now, Decrypt Later.” By integrating Post-Quantum’s NATO-tested communications suite, STV positions itself as a first-mover in countering that risk.

The tone of both companies’ statements hints at a broader strategic play than mere technology adoption. For STV, this isn’t simply a new software layer—it’s a full redefinition of secure defence ecosystems, covering every stage from manufacturing integrity and tamper-proof logistics to mission-critical communications in the field. CEO JUDr. Pavel Kudrhalt emphasized that STV’s clients—ranging from NATO allies to national defence forces—now demand “end-to-end secure ecosystems,” and that Post-Quantum’s technology would enable the company to deliver precisely that. In the age of drones, AI-assisted targeting, and autonomous munitions, the protection of command-and-control data is as essential as armour on the battlefield.

From Post-Quantum’s side, CEO Rikky Hasan described the partnership as an inflection point in defence cybersecurity. The company’s modular platform, structured around three pillars—Identity, Transmission, and Encryption—has already been proven in NATO deployments. Its design allows for rapid integration across complex defence architectures, from secure identity management to encrypted satellite or tactical communications. The collaboration effectively merges Post-Quantum’s cryptographic innovation with STV’s industrial capability, creating a template for quantum-resilient systems in both military and civilian applications.

Beyond the rhetoric lies a deeper strategic shift. NATO’s adoption of post-quantum encryption has been quietly accelerating, and STV’s involvement may signal a move to localize or diversify supply chains within Europe amid rising geopolitical fragmentation. By tying quantum-safe encryption directly into its manufacturing and systems integration pipeline, STV is not just future-proofing its own portfolio—it’s also helping to define what “trusted supply chain” will mean in the quantum age.

If this alliance delivers as promised, it could mark the dawn of a new standard in defence communications—one where cryptography is no longer an add-on but a structural pillar of national security. With both companies united under a shared vision of impenetrable data sovereignty, the message is clear: in the era of quantum computing, resilience isn’t optional anymore—it’s survival.
