FireEye, Inc. (NASDAQ: FEYE), the intelligence-led security company, today announced details for FireEye Cyber Defense Summit 2018, in which thought leaders and status-quo breakers across a variety of industries will spearhead the cyber security conversations shaping our world, from the frontlines to the labs.
The Summit will take place October 1-4 at the Washington Hilton in Washington, D.C.
Among the presenters is former United States Secretary of State and five-time New York Times bestselling author Dr. Madeleine Albright, who will deliver a keynote entitled, “Economy and Security in the 21st Century.”
“As the first woman Secretary of State and former top diplomat for the United States, among many other notable roles, Dr. Albright has been on the frontlines of global security issues. Her experience working with multiple United States administrations and global leaders brings unique perspective to the discussion around security today,” said Kevin Mandia, CEO, FireEye.
“Tackling today’s cyber threat landscape requires knowledge sharing and industry-wide collaboration,” Mandia continued. “We are looking forward to bringing together some of the best minds in the industry at our Cyber Defense Summit, working side by side with them to effectively stay one step ahead in the rapidly-evolving fight against cyber criminals.”
Mandia will also take to the keynote stage, and additional speakers will be announced on the FireEye Cyber Defense Summit website over the coming weeks. In addition to keynotes and general sessions, the Summit will feature sessions across three tracks:
Executive track: what managers, c-level executives and boards of directors need to know about cyber security.
Practitioner track: what cyber security practitioners need to know to secure their organizations and agencies.
Solutions track: how FireEye solutions are used on the frontlines of cyber security.
The Summit will include technology demos from FireEye and FireEye partners and sponsors, addressing next-gen security operations platforms, network, email, and endpoint security, intelligence, and other security topics. FireEye has also scheduled a number of opportunities for attendees to network with peers and FireEye executives from around the world.
On October 1 and 2, FireEye will hold eight optional pre-Summit training courses focused on alert analysis, red teaming, digital forensics and incident response, malware analysis, threat analytics, network traffic analytics, and endpoint security investigations.
