Eclypsium Joins the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative

Eclypsium becomes a member of CISA’s public-private partnership for cyber defense strategy

PORTLAND, Ore., June 13, 2024 – Eclypsium, the digital supply chain security company protecting critical hardware, firmware, and software, today announced it has joined the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative (JCDC). Founded by the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) in 2021, JCDC is a public-private cybersecurity collaborative that unites the global cyber community in the collective defense of cyberspace.

JCDC participants work toward the shared goal of enhancing the collective cybersecurity posture of the United States and its strategic international partners. JCDC’s ecosystem enables participants to collect, share, and widely distribute timely and actionable cyber threat information with real-world value through innovative and agile ways.

“As supply chains of IT and critical infrastructure become more complex and exploits against critical systems and devices escalate at an alarming level, it is increasingly important that business and government work together to bolster capabilities to defend against these attacks,” said Yuriy Bulygin, CEO and cofounder, Eclypsium. “We look forward to working with CISA and fellow industry collaborators as part of JCDC to help shore up defenses to protect against cyber incidents at a national level. We are honored and excited to lend Eclypsium’s research and expertise in supply chain security to this important cause.”

Every device, application, and service within the technology ecosystem is the result of interdependent components sourced from various suppliers. Supply chain threats exploit the intricate network of trust inherent in this ecosystem that public and private organizations alike rely upon. The Eclypsium digital supply chain security platform enables organizations to continuously identify and monitor the bill of materials, integrity, and vulnerability of components and system code in devices, providing comprehensive visibility into the overall digital supply chain risk they face.

With the growing need for automated defenses to fight evasive threats in low-level components from both Advanced Persistent Threat actors (APTs) and cyber criminal groups, Eclypsium recently announced the launch of Automata. This new automated binary analysis system replicates the knowledge and tooling of expert security researchers to discover previously unknown threats, vulnerabilities, and misconfigurations. In May, the company added popular GenAI foundation models to Eclypsium’s supply chain intelligence, allowing organizations to better understand and compare the risk of various closed- and open-source GenAI models.

About the Joint Cyber Defense Collaborative
Pursuant to new authority from Congress, the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA) established JCDC in August 2021 to transform traditional public-private partnerships into real-time private-public operational collaboration and shift the paradigm from reacting to threats and vulnerabilities to proactively planning and taking steps to mitigate them. JCDC combines the visibility, insight, and innovation of the private sector with the capabilities and authorities of the federal cyber ecosystem to collectively drive down cyber risk to the nation at scale.
