Commvault Unveils SHIFT 2025: Cyber Resilience in the Age of AI

September 10, 2025 By admin Leave a Comment

Commvault has announced that its flagship event, SHIFT 2025, will take place in New York City on November 11–12, with a virtual edition following on November 19. The company positions this year’s gathering as its most transformative yet, emphasizing how enterprises can strengthen cyber resilience and data protection strategies amid the accelerating convergence of AI adoption, hybrid cloud expansion, and escalating cyber threats.

The timing is apt. Organizations today find themselves under pressure from multiple directions: artificial intelligence offers immense promise for productivity and decision-making, but it simultaneously opens new attack vectors for adversaries wielding deepfakes, impersonation campaigns, and automated exploits. The cloud remains the backbone of modern enterprise IT, yet the rapid migration of workloads often outpaces security readiness. Add to that mounting regulatory expectations on data governance, and the case for a renewed focus on resilience is clear. SHIFT 2025 promises to address this by combining thought leadership, technical training, and hands-on crisis simulations designed to prepare attendees for the worst while equipping them with strategies to thrive.

The agenda blends strategic vision with practical engagement. Expert sessions will span the most urgent domains of digital security, including AI governance and security, business continuity, cyber recovery, threat intelligence operations, and compliance frameworks. Complementing these will be immersive workshops inside the Commvault Readiverse, where attendees will confront simulated crises such as “Minutes to Meltdown” decision drills and the “Recovery Range,” a live-fire exercise that tests response plans against realistic adversarial tactics. These interactive elements underline Commvault’s philosophy that cyber preparedness cannot remain theoretical—it must be lived, rehearsed, and pressure-tested.

Industry expertise will also be on full display. SHIFT 2025’s keynote features Dr. Rumman Chowdhury, a globally recognized authority on responsible AI, who will explore the ethical and operational risks of unchecked algorithmic adoption. Alongside her, voices from HPE, Pure Storage, Deloitte, Constellation Energy, Persistent Systems, and World Wide Technology will bring cross-sector perspectives on balancing innovation with resilience. This combination of academic, enterprise, and technical insight reflects Commvault’s positioning at the intersection of infrastructure, compliance, and cyber recovery.

For those unable to attend in person, the November 19 virtual edition will extend the reach of SHIFT 2025. Beyond streaming the flagship sessions, online participants will gain access to Lightning Labs, real-time Q&A, and additional curated content. By offering a hybrid format, Commvault reinforces its broader mission: democratizing access to the knowledge and tools needed to defend against rapidly evolving cyber threats.

SHIFT 2025 ultimately serves as more than a vendor showcase. It is a barometer of how enterprises are recalibrating in a world where resilience is no longer a static goal but a continuous practice. Commvault’s decision to frame the event around AI, cloud security, and recovery readiness underscores that the companies which succeed in this new era will be those that view resilience not as insurance, but as a competitive advantage.
