The much-anticipated cybersecurity event, Black Hat USA 2024, will feature an impressive lineup of keynote speakers, including Jen Easterly, Hans de Vries, Felicity Oswald OBE, and Moxie Marlinspike. This announcement has generated significant buzz in the cybersecurity community. Scheduled for Wednesday, August 7, and Thursday, August 8, these keynote addresses will set the tone for the Briefings at the Mandalay Bay Convention Center in Las Vegas. The presentations will be held in the Michelob ULTRA Arena, ensuring a grand setting for the exchange of groundbreaking ideas and insights.

On Wednesday, August 7, at 9:00 AM, the keynote titled “Democracy’s Biggest Year: The Fight for Secure Elections Around the World” will be delivered by Jen Easterly, Hans de Vries, and Felicity Oswald, moderated by Christina Cassidy from The Associated Press. Jen Easterly, Director of the Cybersecurity and Infrastructure Security Agency (CISA), will share her experiences in leading America’s efforts to safeguard its critical infrastructure. The keynote on Thursday, August 8, at 9:00 AM, will be a “Fireside Chat with Moxie Marlinspike,” founder of Signal, alongside Jeff Moss, the founder of Black Hat. This session promises an in-depth exploration of the future of privacy, examining the balance between security and privacy, and the critical role of privacy in facilitating social change. Moxie Marlinspike’s pioneering work with Signal has made significant contributions to secure communications, while Jeff Moss’s extensive experience in organizing major cybersecurity conferences and his advisory roles highlight his profound influence in the field.
