StateRAMP Symposium Kicks Off Event

WASHINGTON, February 04, 2025 – CISOs for Florida, Texas, and California are among the speakers from more than 36 states, cities, counties and municipalities at the 2nd Billington State and Local CyberSecurity Summit. The summit will be held on March 10-12, 2025 at the Ronald Reagan Building in Washington, D.C., and brings together top state, local, and federal government officials along with industry experts to share best practices, enhance current cyber operations, and bolster future defenses.

“We can’t focus solely on the federal government to keep our nation safe from cyber criminals. State and local governments and their critical infrastructure are of great importance to our national security and are at risk daily from bad actors in cyberspace,” explained Troy Schneider, EVP and GM, Billington CyberSecurity. “As attacks on our infrastructure continue to increase, we must arm our localities with the resources to help thwart cyber threats. Through this summit, we work to share knowledge and solutions and foster partnerships across all levels of government.”

Nearly 1,000 government officials, tech leaders, and academia from all over the nation will be participating in Billington’s summit and sharing ways to enhance the cybersecurity of the states, counties, cities, and municipalities that comprise the U.S. and the critical infrastructure sectors. More than 36 cyber leaders from the DOD, DOE, Arizona, California, Florida, Illinois, Iowa, Massachusetts, Maryland, Minnesota, New York, New Jersey, North Dakota, Ohio, Texas, Wisconsin, Wyoming and Virginia will be speaking during 25 sessions, including:

Amanda Crawford, Executive Director and CIO, State of Texas

Additionally, Billington CyberSecurity is partnering with StateRAMP to host the 2025 StateRAMP Symposium on Cybersecurity Framework Harmonization on March 10, on site and immediately prior to the Summit. Government and industry leaders are encouraged to register and attend all three days.

The summit takes place at the Ronald Reagan Building at 1300 Pennsylvania Avenue NW, Washington, DC. All sessions are open to credentialed working press except the workshops that follow Chatham House Rules. These are indicated on the agenda. Press and attendees should register for both the Summit and Symposium at: https://statelocal.billingtoncybersummit.com/register. Tickets range in price depending on type of business. Press are free.
